School re-union

Facebook post

At two in the afternoon, standing under a large neem tree, waiting for their turn to enter the tution class boys and girls would every single day exchange plans on how to spend the long three month vacation once the board exam was over. Some said would go on a long trip with parents, some would say would play in abundance, some would visit realtives living in other cities, some would join the Music class and so on.

As the last day of exam concluded, pupil started walking out of their classrooms, it seemed like any other day, some quietly walked past the school premises, some settled on their partents vehicles, waved towards friends without entusiasm and left for home.

The young boys and girls suddenly felt very lonely, a vaccum suddenly occured from no where and took away all the happiness as soon as they realised there is no regular school from tomorrow. Deep engrossed in the tought sitting on the pillion of Father’s scooter, Bisu’s elder son felt as if hundreds of birds suddenly flew helter skelter in the sky not knowing their destination. They flew away keeping the sky empty and kept on flying continuously till one morniing each one of them in their individual routes realised return is now really long. Soon as they realised, they instatlty started their return journey. Years and decades gone, they are now in a hurry to return home and to assemble again to the Neem tree, from where they flew once, years back.

On a Sunday moning, the sky looked extra ordinarily brighter than the other days as it was all prepared to welcome those hundreds of chirping souls to retun to their nest, it spreaded its arms as much as it could to embrace each one of those with the utmost warmth and ask their well being.

The chirpy birds met each other, they looked at their changed physique and giggled, some rolled on the floor, some yelled, moved from this branch to that branch restlessly for nothing.. That’s exactly how I felt within as I climbed each of the steps of the banquet where the school reunion held last month. Was lost amoung the best buddies of my life.

We lost nothing as we kept flying the long way in between, the old flame came alive and transmitted through the eyes as soon as the two met, other two just hugged each other really tight but had no words to utter, Some complained you didnot keep in touch, Some was busy pampering. Every such emotion stayed quiety at the innermost layer of heart and waited for the day.

Friends are Forever. ❤️
